The Beauty of Oz
One of my oldest and dearest friends flew in to Sacramento for a few days and I was so happy to be able to spend some time with her. She was expecting a baby boy (now born!) and I wanted to take some maternity pictures for her as part of her gift. Her sister was there and I got some lovely pictures of them together. It was a lovely afternoon of catching up, talking about past memories together and taking lots of pictures.

Little Tori
This little girl has such a sweet spirit! I was a little nervous I wasn't going to get the shots I wanted because she didn't really warm up to me like kids normally do... maybe because I had a camera infront of my face and I looked like a crazy stranger!! But her sweet spirit shined with her parents. I had a lot of fun walking around Elk Grove Park, capturing sweet memories and catching up with an old friend.

First Session - Tia's Maternity Portraits
While taking pictures of the ballet class at 916 Dance Studio I met Tia, an expecting mommy. We scheduled a maternity session. I explained to her I was just starting out and that I didn't have much experience, but Tia trusted that I could do it.
I went to Tia's home a few weeks ago for the session. She was so warm and welcoming I immediately felt at ease. We jumped right into it and I have to say, she made my first session incredibly easy! A natural infront of the camera and absolutley stunning!
I am very happy with my first session and I think Tia was too.
Thank you for trusting me to do your maternity session knowing that I didn't have experience, Tia. It meant alot! I can't wait to meet baby Olivia and do my first newborn session with her!!

This is Tia and her mom - yes - her MOM!! They look like sisters!
